Snow Geese in Skagit Valley - 02/2009
My friend Melissa and I spent the day in Skagit Valley to witness the annual Snow Geese migration from Russia. There were probably 60,000 geese in one field, so you can imagine how noisy it was too. We were lucky to see some Bald Eagles in the area as well. This was my first time photographing a wild eagle!

on February 16, 2009Wow, these eagles are fantastic! I'm so hot after eagle pix and keep missing them. I didn't realize they were in the Skagit Valley. Thanks for the tags to help us out! Were there many left this weekend? On the website it looks like they're s'posed to be nearly gone by now.
